The ‘90s were a big time for Marvel’s mutants. The Fox Kids animated series rose the X-Men to new popularity heights that hadn’t been seen before. The bright colored spandex and pouches were all the fashion craze. Fast forward almost thirty years later, when the X-Men books are riding a creative high thanks to Jonathan Hickman’s shepherding, Marvel still can’t shake the nostalgia. Cue the newest book: X-MEN LEGENDS. Marvel brings back legacy creators for new stories in the era when they were at their height. This first issue brings back writer Fabien Nicieza, possibly THE X-Men writer of the mid-’90s, for a brand-new adventure.
