Just as the new Halloween Kills teaser trailer hit the web this week Jamie Lee Curtis tweeted that the movie has been pushed to October 2021. The date change seems a wise choice given that the opening of theaters is still shakey as COVID-19 cases continue to skyrocket. Even if theaters do open back up in time for the original planned release the fall will be incredibly crowded with films that have been bumped throughout the year. Moving a safe distance from all of those films is a good choice.
the teaser is very effective, offering a glance at where the film will pick up, reminding us of how great Jamie Lee Curtis was in the fist film, and not revealing anything important at this early date.
