Editor’s Note: Zach did not introduce his list at all here so here are my thoughts on it: it’s pretty good!
Blade Runner 4k UHD Blu-ray
$49.99 ($29.99 at Best Buy)
Starting off, we have the must own 4k UHD to own for anyone that really wants to see how 4k can be with classic films. To date, it’s the reference quality 4k Blu that I own that is a benchmark for all other 4k’s. I don’t even have a HDR enabled tv and its still a stunning display of craftsmanship and proving once and for all that given the proper attention and care, any film regardless of age can look beautiful.
Samsung DeX Station, Desktop Experience for Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+
So here’s something that every Samsung owner should have: a wireless charge station. But what’s cool about this little thing is that it also doubles as a converter to make your S8, S8+ or even Note 8 into its own computer that you can enjoy with a mouse, keyboard and monitor. It’s incredible to think that now a days you have a fully functioning computer in your pocket. The ball’s in your court, Apple.
Xbox One X
So Microsoft finally did it. They made a good console, but not only that, a console that is comparable to most modern PCs out there in terms of gaming specs. It truly does make me happy to see a gaming console taking steps to at least try to make games 1080p or 4k with 60fps in mind. It’s a massive difference in experience and easier on the eyes. Only time will tell how this system will play out, but for $499 it’s a great 4k blu ray player and gaming console to boot.
Cuphead: ‘Don’t Deal With the Devil’
So here’s my game recommendation that I’ve been hearing a lot about, yet still haven’t picked it up as of yet due to my funds being a little too low to get it. Cuphead is a classic run and gun shooter that has the aesthetic of a 1930’s cartoon straight out of Walt Disney or cartoons of old. Add that it has a ball bustlingly high difficulty and you have a game that I cant wait to fully try out, and then rage quit fifteen minutes later.
Tile Sport – Key Finder. Phone Finder. Anything Finder (Graphite)
Ever lose your keys or item that you can never seem to find? Not anymore, with this blutooth enabled device you will never lose it again. Basically you attach this item to whatever you want to track and then you will be able to see where it is with an app on your phone. The only drawback that I can find is that the battery is non-removable, so if it dies you have to buy another one. Which according to the site, lasts a year, so for only $35 you have a traceable device for a year for only the price of a fancy dinner night. Seems legit to me.
Get It!“>Get It!
