The CW has notoriously been one of those networks that has made catching up on their series online a real challenge. They’ve had deals in place with Netflix and Hulu since 2011 but neither option was a satisfactory solution to fans. Hulu had limited access to episodes, the most recent five to be precise, and Netflix would only get fully seasons just before new seasons were set to air. After months of negotiations Hulu and the CW could not find common ground. So, the Hulu deal is ending in October.
In comes Netflix with a bag of cash! The new deal with Netflix is said to make seasons available within two weeks of a season’s end. The official announcement about the deal may be released as soon as the end of the week. The CW is in a much better place now than in 2011 with successful DC Comics based television shows Arrow and The Flash achoring the network along with newcomer Legends of Tomorrow. With Supergirl making a highly publicized move to the network this fall the future looks bright for the network, and now for fans hoping to catch up on these shows!
