Cannibal Ferox is sort of the last breath for the true cannibal grindhouse film. These films were primarily Spanish or Italian and were usually deserving of the controversy they garnered due to extreme violence and nudity. This one was originally released in 1981 and was directed by Umberto Lenzi. This film has been released and re-released over and over again by a variety of distributors since the vhs days. Grindhouse Releasing appears to have crafted the definitive version now though with this multi-disc blu-ray release. This set just hit the office today so look for a full review next week!
