We don’t know too much about this new series other than it’s being crafted by Michael Hague. Hague is best known for his illustrations of classic children’s books such as The Wind in the Willows. It’s interesting to see someone so invested in kids works bringing something to an edgier indie comic book label. This four part story is definitely aimed at young readers. The art style stays in Hague’s wheelhouse being traiditonal fantasy art. Here’s the very brief synopsis from Dark Horse:
When Newt, a young wizard’s apprentice, embarks on a wonderful and perilous quest, he encounters marvelous creatures of all shapes and sizes and learns a dark secret that could shape his entire destiny!
