As a kid something about the Edward Woodward TV series The Equalizer hooked me. I;m not really sure why. Yes there was action but it was minimal considering even then Woodward was no spring chicken. The actor played a retired secret agent who spent his time helping people in trouble rather than relaxing on the beach.
When I heard Denzel Washington was playing the lead in a feature film remake I had mixed feelings. First I was afraid that this would just be another bad film making a quick buck on nostalgia (Dukes of Hazard anybody?). On the other hand I like the thought of Washington in a role like this, a little older but still a sort of Man of Fire like bad ass. Now we finally have a trailer to consider.
All things will be equal when the movie hits theaters September 26th!
