It has been four years since the old web home hear had a reno. So it seemed like it was time. This new design is still being tweaked and updated and we’re adding new features in a little at a time. The basic navigation is the same for you guys with main pages listed across the top of the page and article categories now listed on the left slide of the all-important feature article glider. That glider by the way will still feature the five most recent articles added to the site. You can simply scroll down to see the most recent ten then hit the next page button to go even further back. If you really wanna dig into the gallows then use the category button and pick the type of article you want to read and dig to your heart’s content. Finally the article search feature is still available now on the right sidebar of the homepage. There you can type in a topic and see what we got.
For new stuff, there’s a new social networking center at the top of the right sidebar. The buttons there will take you to the appropriate page for that network to CineGeek. All of these sites are tied into the network in some way including images from CineGeek TV projects such as Culture Smash and food show shoots on flickr to Google+ posts and Culture Smash and CineGeek wEbcast Episodes available on YouTube. If you comment on the site you can now see your comments featured not only on the article upon which you shared your thoughts but that comment will also be featured on the main homepage about halfway down the right sidebar. This new feature we are still working to make even better.
So kick the tires and let us know if you have any problems as we continue this new upgrade to our geeky home. Also if there’s something you think would be a cool add to the site shoot us a note about that one too! It’s a new look but the same ol’ slacktastic geektastic attitude from all involved. Is that a good thing?
