- Warner Bros is in early talks with Robert Zemeckis to direct a live-action remake of the The Wizard of Oz and plans to use the original script from the 1939 classic.
- Will Smith and Tommy Lee jones slipped on the black suits and began filming on Men in Black III this week.
- According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Ocean’s 11) is in negotiations to direct the film adaptation of the 60’s Cold War-era TV spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
- The Hollywood Reporter has news that the second season of Walking Dead will not air until October 2011!
- Director Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans) has commented to MTV that he is still attached to a Y the Last Man feature film adaptation but he and the financiers are considering a television series instead due to the success of The Walking Dead.
