The summer movie season is officially over and we’re in that terrible time between summer movie and end of the year last minute films that the studios feel are Oscar worthy along with the usually horrible holiday films. Here’s the weekend box office:
- Bangkok Dangerous 7.8 million
- Tropic Thunder 7.5 million
- The House Bunny 5.9 million
- The Dark Knight 5.7 million
- Traitor 4.6 million
- Babylon A.D. 4 million
- Death Race 3.6 million
- Disaster Movie 3.3 million
- Mamma Mia! 2.7 million
- Pineapple Express 2.4 million
Bankok Dangerous is interesting as an examination of an Asian film remade by an American crew and star but directed by the original directors. Could it be good? If it’s any good at all wouldn’t it have made it to theaters back in the blockbuster season?
